Q. What is The Gym Dandies Children’s Circus?
A. The Gym Dandies Children’s Circus of Scarborough, Maine is the largest school‐based program of its type in the US. There are currently over 100 Gym Dandies and more than 3,500 students have participated in the program since 1981. The Gym Dandies have performed at hundreds of schools, community events and parades in New England, in addition to
representing the State of Maine as a nationally recognized performance group.
Q. Is the Gym Dandies Children’s Circus open to all students?
A. The Gym Dandies program is run through the Scarborough School System and is open to all children in the town of Scarborough between 3rd and 12th grade.

Q. When is the next Gym Dandies Community Performance?
A. The Gym Dandies 2025 Community performance is scheduled for dates TBD in March, 2025 at Wentworth School Gym in Scarborough, ME.
Q. What type of Event Signage will be offered for National and Community Performance Sponsors?
A. National Parade and Community Performance Sponsors will be recognized with posters displayed at the annual Gym Dandies Community Performance.
Q. Can I designate a student for my Student Registration Sponsorship?
A. No. The Student Registration Sponsorship level is based on the current annual student registration fee. The Gym Dandies Program is open to all children who wish to enroll, offering partial or full scholarships based on financial need.
Q. Is my donation tax deductible?
A. The Gym Dandies Children’s Circus is an IRS‐recognized non‐profit 501(c)(3) organization. Tax ID number: 01‐0528165. Please consult with your accountant or tax preparer.
Q. How do I submit my Community Performance Ad, logo and listing details?
A. Email text for your four‐line listing or your print‐ready ad and logo (in jpg, pdf or png format) to shown to non-JS browsers as follows: National ‐ Full page B&W, 5” W x 8” H; Community ‐ Half page B&W, 5” W x 3.875” H; Regional ‐ Quarter page B&W, 2.375” W x 3.875” H; All Others ‐ Four‐line listing B&W, 5” W 12 point font including Sponsor Name and 30‐word message/contact details.
Q. How will sponsorship funds be used?
A. All funds will be used to defray the costs associated with the Gym Dandies program and performance expenses, including national parades. The Gym Dandies program is self‐supported and registration fees cover only 40% of regular operating expenses. These expenses include travel costs for participation in national parades.
Q. How do I pay for my sponsorship?
A. Currently, we accept Pay Pal or check.
Q. Is it possible for The Gym Dandies to carry sponsor banners or other signage at parades or other outside performances?
A. No. As a standard requirement, parade organizers do not allow such signage and advertising by performance groups.
